About

Living and working in our city can be stressful!

I’m a Portland, TN chiropractor who listens and understands the unique challenges you face. And it all starts by taming your nervous system and restoring better health with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care.>

My friends thought I was crazy when I left for chiropractic college when I was 40 years old. I could no longer resisted the passion I had for helping others get healthy naturally.

When I was about 12 years old I met an old doctor (he was only about 50 at the time). He was an Osteopath. I told him that I would like to be like him when I grow up. He told me that Osteopaths no longer do what he did and I would have to become a chiropractor.

Education

I attended Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta GA. I was surprised to learn that chiropractors studied more about the human body and how it work than medical doctors did and that the national boards examinations are just about identical. It was also in chiropractic college that I learned the difference between a chiropractic adjustment and an osteopathic manipulation (it is so much better to be adjusted than manipulated…wouldn’t you agree?) an adjustment is much more specific.

Living and working can be stressful. Health is an Inside out process and we are designed to be healthy. We are not born with a shortage of drugs we are self healing and self regulating and it all starts by balancing your nervous system and restoring better health with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care.

Chiropractic is a lifestyle of getting adjusted, nourishing my body and moving properly.

I am married to my lovely wife Pam who works with me in the office. My passion is helping people regaining their health naturally and when time permits I enjoy fishing, hunting, canoeing, kayaking and spending time in the great out doors admiring the beauty of Nature. I am a member of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association, McKendree United Methodist Church, Chiropractic Leadership Alliance, and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

I believe so much in what I am doing that virtually every week I get checked for subluxations and get adjusted if needed. I eat a diet very low in commercially prepared grains, good quality protein, natural fats and minimal sugar. I am currently working on moving more. I believe that to be healthy you have to Eat well, Think well, and Move well.

Many people ask me about vaccinations. When you look at the ingredients in vaccinations (mercury, formaldehyde, mono-sodium glutamate, human cells from aborted fetal tissue, cells from pigs – horses – chickens – monkeys – dogs) it makes you wonder how good they really are for you.

Often I’m asked about antibiotics. To start with I am very biased against them. When I was 19, I was given an antibiotic for tonsillitis. It put me in a coma and I almost died. I know that if you can assist the body with natural vitamins and herbs you can stimulate the immune system to function properly. We also know that approximately 85% of all illness is a result of viruses and antibiotics do not affect viruses.

The question often comes up about over the counter pain relief products.

All drugs have side effects, even over the counter. There are many natural options like rest, heat, ice, and supplements.

Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give us a call so we can help you take your first step toward exploring your options towards better health naturally.
